DIETZ MOTORSPORTS HIRES KEVIN NOUSE FOR 2012 SEASON

When the green flags drops at Lincoln Speedway in late February, there will be a new combination in the pits to contend with. Dietz Motorsports confirmed on Tuesday that they have reached an agreement with Kevin Nouse to drive their familiar #14 car in 2012.

Dietz Motorsports, who has been a regular competitor at Lincoln Speedway for the last several seasons with drivers Doug Dodson and Brent Marks, are looking forward to the venture. “Kevin has proven himself to be a winner in whatever he drives and we are hoping to take our team to the next level with him. We felt an immediate chemistry with Kevin in our first meeting and we feel that we are going to be a great team with him driving our car.” said Chris Dietz.

For Nouse, it will mark the first time in his career that he will call Lincoln Speedway his weekly 410 Sprint Car home. In 2011, Nouse was hired by John Pinter to drive his #92 car and the two found success by putting together four top five finishes in seven races run at the Pigeon Hills oval. Nouse hopes to continue that success when he climbs behind the wheel of the #14 Maxim Chassis on opening day. “I felt like I was starting to get a grip on Lincoln Speedway a little bit last season when the Pinter deal ended. We had some good runs and probably should have won at least once, so hopefully I can continue that momentum when I go back there in 2012 with the #14 car” Nouse said. “The Dietz family puts a lot of effort into their racing program and I am honored that they asked me to drive for them. They have some nice equipment and the right attitude, so hopefully we can learn to work together quickly and have a great season together. I’m really looking forward to it.”

The Dietz Motorsports car will continue to carry sponsorship from C.C. Dietz, Inc. Builders, Hess Ornamental Iron, DMI, Keizer Wheels, Wings Unlimited, Rider Racing Engines, Kelly Racing Fuels and Pancho’s Racing Products. New sponsorship for the team will come from Nouse Signs & Graphics and Hotmark Custom Apparel.

The team’s schedule will focus primarily on weekly competition at Lincoln Speedway, with the possibility of several time trial events at various speedways being added. More information on the Dietz Motorsports schedule will become available after the area speedways release their 2012 schedules to the public.
