TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY RELEASES 2006 SCHEDULE WITH APRIL 30TH OPENER

Tri-City Speedway officials released their 2006 schedulethis weekend with a total of 26 events on the calendar, including special eventsfor the National Sprint Tour and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. "This season's schedule came together over the last few weeks, and we hopethat our fans are as excited as we are about the events offered for the upcomingseason," said Tri-City Speedway Co-Promoter Mike Graham. The half-mile Venango County oval will open for racing action on Sunday April30th. The first five-star racing show will include the 4 Your Car ConnectionSuper Sprints, Schwab's Ford DIRT Modifieds, RPM Auto Sales/Shawgo Real Estate EMods, E.F. Rogers Plumbing & Heating Pro Stocks and Klapec Auto BodyThundercars. Those same five divisions will be featured on most Sunday nights atTri-City. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. and racing starts at 6:00 p.m. eachnight. Adult grandstand admission will be $11 this season. Pit admission willremain at $22. Fan Appreciation Night will be held on Sunday August 20th whenadult grandstand admission is reduced to $6. "We believe that we continue to offer the best entertainment value in ourregion, and we've continued to keep families in mind, especially when we set ourticket prices for our special events," said Tri-City Co-Promoter Roger Crick. Former World of Outlaws Sprint champions Steve Kinser and Danny Lasoski willheadline the inaugural season of the National Sprint Tour, which will visitTri-City on Sunday July 16th. In addition to Kinser and Lasoski, other famedwinged warriors such as Jason Meyers, Paul McMahon, Brian Paulus and ShaneStewart will take on the local competition in the first major Super Sprint eventat Tri-City since 2002. The William R. Karns Detroit Iron Pro Stock Series willalso be in action that night. Adult grandstand admission will be $25 for the$10,000-to-win National Sprint Tour event. The Oil Region Labor Day Classic Weekend will feature two nights ofcompetition for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on Saturday and SundaySeptember 2nd and 3rd. After a successful debut event in 2005, the World ofOutlaws Late Model Series will return with such stars as Billy Moyer, RickEckert, Steve Francis, Tim McCreadie and Chub Frank. Each night, the Late Modeldrivers and teams will run qualifying events and a 50-lap feature for$10,000-to-win. In addition, the E Mods and Pro Stocks will run complete showseach night. On Sunday night, the E Mods will compete in the final Fame RV CenterE Series race of 2006, the All Star 30, while the Pro Stocks prep for the 10thAnnual CSOnline Applefest 100 with the third leg of the William R. KarnsPlumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Detroit Iron Pro Stock Series. Adultgrandstand admission will be $30 each night with a special two-day ticket pricedat $50. The Schwab's Ford Big Block Challenge Series will feature four special eventsfor the DIRT Modifieds. The initial race will be the 3rd Annual Dick RankinMemorial on Sunday May 28th, which will feature the only appearance of the BRPModified Tour 2006 at Tri-City this season. That 30-lap event will pay$1,400-to-win. The other Big Block Challenge Series events will be held on June18th (25 Laps, $1,200-to-win), July 23rd (Kodiak Memorial 25 Laps;$1,500-to-win), and August 6th (25 Laps, $1,200-to-win). Those four races willrun in conjunction with four DIRT MotorSports Big Block Challenge Series eventsat Lernerville Speedway. A point fund will be developed for the eight-raceseries. At Tri-City, the adult grandstand admission for each of those eventswill remain at $11. For the third season in a row, the Fame RV Center E Series returns toTri-City with a first-time sponsor. Expanded to a four-race series, events willbe held on June 4th, July 2nd, August 20th and September 3rd (All Star 30). Inaddition, this season's Victim's Resource Center Charity Race will use E Modsfor the first time. That event will be held on June 18th. Adult grandstandadmission at each of those shows will remain at $11, except for the race onSeptember 3rd. The Pro Stocks will continue with their four-race William R. Karns PlumbingHeating & Air Conditioning Detroit Iron Pro Stock Series for the fifth season ina row. Those events will be held on May 28th, July 16th, September 3rd, andSeptember 17th. The final series race will be the 10th Annual CSOnline Applefest100. That show will also include the Apple Core 20 for the Thundercars and theLowry Auto Wrecking Full-Size Car Demo Derby. Adult grandstand admission willremain at $11 on May 28th and September 17th. On July 2nd, Tri-City will celebrate Independence Day with a five-star racingshow that includes the Fame RV Center E Series as well as the Giant Eagle/EdwardJones Investments Fireworks Extravaganza and the Clarion RRR Roadhouse RoadCruise III. Adult grandstand admission for this event will remain at $11. Clear Channel Entertainment will return with the Monster Trucks for threeshows on Friday and Saturday July 14th and 15th. More information will bereleased in coming weeks about the trucks, competitors, other attractions, racetimes and ticket prices for those events. The Monster Trucks will round out ahuge motorsports weekend, which will conclude on Sunday night with the NationalSprint Tour event. Adding excitement on four different wheels will be the Extreme Dirt TrackATVA Nationals on Friday and Saturday September 8th and 9th. Hosted by HetrickRacing and the All-Terrain Vehicle Association (ATVA), the national event isexpected to draw hundreds of ATV racers to Tri-City for both oval track andmotocross-style racing competition. More information about race times and ticketprices for this event will be released later this season. Other season highlights include a Powder Puff Pro Stock event, three LowryAuto Wrecking Demo Derbies, children's bike races, two nights of spectatorraces, the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Senior Series, the Coors Brewing BonusBucks Night, and the Maurer's Trading Post Rifle Dash.
