Blonde and Mosher to Battle for All Star Rookie of the Year

Camargo, IL – (3-2-06) – Litchfield, Michigan and Albuquerque, New Mexico are 1500 miles apart on the map, but the All Star Circuit of Champions will bring Chad Blonde and James Mosher together on dirt tracks around the mid-west this summer to do battle as the organization’s latest Rookie of the Year contenders. The winner of the title will find themselves $10,000 richer at the conclusion of the 2006 season.
Litchfield, Michigan’s Chad Blonde, who drives the orange and blue Blonde Motorsports, Wesmar Engines, Maxim #5B, may be familiar to many of the fans in the Ohio/Indiana/Michigan region. Chad is 26 years old and has been a regular contender with the AVSS, GLOSS, and MASS series dating back to 1999. He has several wins with those groups and has run a number of races with the All Stars since 2003 whenever the series visited his area. In 2006, he has decided to make a run at the Rookie title and follow the All Star tour full time. So far in 2006 he has shown that he will be a tough competitor by making the A-main in all 3 All Star shows at Volusia Speedway against some of the best drivers in the country.
James Mosher, who drives the orange Isotopes Micro-Brewery, Mosher Motorsports, Kistler Engines, Maxim, #12m, calls Albuquerque, New Mexico home. He will venture out on the road full time this summer to compete in as many races as he can with a number of different organizations. His main focus will be the All Star schedule and the Rookie of the Year title. James was introduced to the All Star organization this year in Florida and liked the group and the level of competition. At age 29, he made the decision to follow the full tour in 2006 and looks forward to visiting new tracks around the mid-west this summer. James has raced mini-sprints for 10 years and won well over 200 main events in 12 different states, along with a few National Championships. He started racing sprint cars - both winged and non-winged 360 and 410 - in July of 2005. He then won the NMMRA rookie of the year, and also the SCOA rookie of the year.
The All Star Circuit of Champions would like to welcome both drivers to the series and we look forward to seeing them compete for the Rookie of the Year title in 2006. The Rookie chase is wide open and drivers still considering running for Rookie of the Year have until May 2006 to declare their plans to pursue the title.
