CHIAPPELLI MOTORSPORTS RELEASE DRIVER

Chiappelli Motorsports—Tom and Fran Chiappelli are announcing the release of Dan Shetler as driver of their #98 Sprint Car. Dan has been the pilot of the Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks #98 for the past three seasons. This year the team won the Track Championship at Sharon Speedway. “The decision to release Dan was a difficult one,” said Tom. “Fran and I think very highly of Dan. He was and is the type of individual we want as a driver—personable, hard working, and dedicated to sprint car racing. However, we feel that we are not, as a team, achieving the goals that we have set for ourselves.” As for the future of the #98 Sprint, the search has just begun for a driver and the plans are not definite as to where the team will race or how often.
