SYRACUSE, N.Y. – This Saturday night, the nativepoker.com Tour for the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) will invade the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds and the Little Valley Speedway. The lone visit by the winged warriors in the big, paper clip shaped half-mile is always a fan favorite and on this night it will be no different.
Just like 2006 where Mother Nature is the leading A-Main winner, ESS’ visit last year also fell victim to rain so many of the stars and cars of the 360 sprint car organization can’t wait for the return visit. Dan Kaszubinski won the last event back on June 11, 2004 and he brings some 30 others sprinters to the pits with the point lead. His consistency so far aboard the Fratto Motorsports entry has him leading Justin Barger, Jeff Cook, Mike Stelter and rookie Jason Barney after three events.
All teams in the top five will be on hand along with A-Main winners Jessica Zemken and Steve Poirier. Defending champion Lance Yonge will also be in the pits with other top drivers such as Doug Emery, Jeff VanDusen, Alain Bergeron and local favorite Kyle Moffit.
The nativepoker.com Tour has taken on a new look so far in 2006 with three first-time ESS A-Main winners. Will another new name grace the all-time win list or will an ESS veteran finally crack the winners circle? Pit Gates open at 3 PM with racing under way at 6 PM.
