Clinton County Raceway Looks to Kick Start Summer

Mackeyville, PA – It’s been a tough month of May in the northeast for anyone involved in racing. Mother Nature seems like a broken record as she’s been stuck on the same note of rain showers and cold temperatures. Things look to get a lot hotter this Friday as Clinton County Raceway looks to kick off the Memorial Day weekend with great racing and a unique offer. On the card for this Friday, May 23rd are the Shore Auto Parts Sprint Cars, A&A Auto Parts Pro Stocks, and Randy’s Auto Repair 4-cylinders. Also on the card will be the first of three autograph and camera nights. Fans will be able to get their favorite driver’s autograph and picture in what has become a popular event.

As an added bonus Clinton County Raceway promoter Vern Wasson extends a special offer. Because of all the rainouts Wasson wants to make it up to the fans and give them a chance to see more racing at a cheaper price. The Nationally Sanctioned ASCS Patriot Sprints will be traveling back to Woodhull Raceway this Saturday May 24th. Anyone with a ticket stub from Clinton County’s Friday night show will be admitted to the grandstands at Woodhull Raceway Saturday for only $5. That’s two nights of great racing for under $20. Woodhull is located only 75 minutes north of Clinton County Raceway in Woodhull, NY. For more information and a class listing check out their website at www.woodhullraceway.com. A stellar sprint field is expected at both tracks as a handful of the Patriot drivers look to invade Clinton County Raceway Friday night to see if they have what it takes to tackle the tricky clay oval.

Also, due to the rain out, any Late Models looking for track time in anticipation of their next event are welcome to come the next two weeks for practice. Teams will be given plenty of track time so they can shake down their new rides.

Admission to the grandstand is only $10 with gates opening at 5pm and racing starting at 7:30. Clinton County Raceway is located on route 220 just off from the route 80 interchange in Mackeyville, PA. For more information check out our website at www.clintoncountyraceway.com.
