DIRT Motorsports/Lernerville Speedway announces that Gary Risch Jr. who served as Co-Assistant Manager in 2006 will assume the position of General Manager of one of the most popular dirt racing facilities in the country effective immediately.

Lernerville Speedway continues to be the only track in the country running three headline divisions – Sprints, Late Models, and V-8 Modifieds on a weekly basis. The top three divisions join the popular Pure Stocks as the Fab Four Friday night show that starts promptly at 7:30 pm.

“Last season the goal was the continue Lernerville’s reputation to be one of the most competitive tracks in the country along with enduring it’s popularity with the fans,” Mr. Risch Jr. said “ I feel we were successful in keeping many of the tracks traditions in place as well as implementing new procedures to keep the show moving. Our drivers, sponsors, and staff are very passionate and loyal about starting their weekend every Friday night at the track and plans are in place for the same in 2007.” Risch added.

Mark these important dates as Lernerville will again host both the World of Outlaws Sprints and Late Model sanction bodies in 2007. The WoO sprints invade the Sarver oval on Tuesday, May 17th for the Commonwealth Clash and on Tuesday, July 17th for the Annual $30,000 to win Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup. Tuesday, April 17th the track will welcome the WoO Late Model for the Showdown in Sarvertown. Excitement continues to circulate around the country as both the late model drivers and fans anticipate the inaugural two-day extravaganza on Friday and Saturday, June 29 & 30th the $30,000 to win Firecracker 100.
Gary Risch Sr. who also served as Co-Assistant Manager will assume the duties as Food & Beverage Manager. Gary Sr. will devote his time and expertise planning food and beverage items. Through his lifetime, he has been earning a seasoned background in the food and beverage industry and his efforts will be important to continue Lernerville’s reputation as a pioneer in the sport. “We want our fans to feel at home during their visit and the plans for an adequate variety of food and beverage is the goal,” said Gary Risch Sr.

The complete 2007 schedule will be released shortly. The 39th Lernerville Awards Banquet will be held, Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Days Inn, Rt. 8 South of Butler. Tribute will be paid to the drivers, owners, crews, print and electronic media personnel, officials, employees, safety crews and other friends all of who have contributed to the racing program at the Lernerville Speedway. Doors will open at 5:30 pm with an all you can eat buffet to begin at 6:00 pm. The price of the banquet is $35 per person, with free soft drinks and beer.
