ANDY MCKISSON SHOOTING FOR THE ALL-STARS IN 2009

One of the most consistent drivers on the Western Pennsylvania circuit over the last decade has been Andy Mckisson of Strattanville, Pa. Driving the familiar yellow family owned 0 sprint car he has been a consistent top ten finisher over the years despite racing on a limited budget. This season Mckisson is hoping to take the team to the next level. Right now the team is planning an early start with a possible trip to Florida with the O’Reilly All-Star Circuit of Champions. If the team isn’t able to make it to Florida they will be ready when the northeast openers get underway.

Despite a late start in 2008 Mckisson put together one of his most consistent seasons nearly winning his first night out at Thunder Mountain Speedway. From there he managed to finish in the top ten in two thirds of his starts including his first career win at Mercer Raceway Park. The visit to victory lane at Mercer kept his winning streak intact giving him at least one win in each of the last five seasons.

Mckisson finished the 2008 season being honored by the Twin State Racing Club where he was awarded the club’s annual Sportsmanship Award. Andy was voted the winner after he stopped on the track to help fellow competitor Bob Felmlee out his car which had caught on fire during a heat race at Lernerville Speedway.

Currently Mckisson Motorsports is seeking more funding so they spend 2009 following the competitive O’Reilly All-Star Circuit of Champions tour. The All-Stars have just released an ambitious schedule and Mckisson will definitely be a strong contender for Rookie of the Year honors. The team is actively seeking sponsorship and anyone interested in bringing sponsorship, small or large to the team for the 2009 season please contact Andy at 814-764-5152
